Howard Goodall Big Bangs 3 Opera

Howard Goodall's episode of Big Bang examines the breakthroughs that European music has experienced throughout history. This 3rd episode of his series investigates the intersection of political power and sung drama from Monteverdi's L'Orfeo to John Adams's Nixon in China. Goodall did a fantastic job presenting controversial and complicated developments in western music. MonteVerdi's innovation to the music world heavily helped Opera become a universal appeal. This video shows how Opera has reached different areas of the world and has grown to become part of the real world. Its very fascinating to see how Opera has spread throughout time and has been performed in so many different ways by different cultures.

 After seeing and learning more about Gothic Cathedrals, I am in awe of these beautiful structures. In summer of 2018, I took a trip to Paris with my family and got to see Notre Dam in person before it unfortunately caught fire a year later.  The cathedral was so beautiful and had so many aspects that makes it so special. Tips for Performance Art Piece

 For my Performance Art piece, Im going to make a video that represents my very interesting background and challenges that are faced with being multiethnic. . I was born in Munich, Germany, I have German and Dominican parents. I want to somehow incorporate my background into this video showing my transition from living in Germany, to moving to the US and having to adjust to a whole new lifestyle and learn a new language. I want my project to show the transition of myself from then to now. To do this, I want to find pictures of myself that show my childhood compared to who I am now and videos that can help others understand more.
